| | New Spider-Man Poster...Nice
We have the Spider-Man 2 poster on our wall at work. This one for Spider-Man 3 looks even better, like someone turned spidey to stone...
Here's the Spidey theme song: Listen

| | A New Year
Hey, all, thought I'd drop a quick post. Not too much going on here, just gearing up for a new year. I started it off by going skiing at Seven Springs with Kate. We had a good time (except for skiing out of bounds and me wiping out on a hill of large rocks, but I guess that was fun too ). Kate beat me three times on the Nastar run, and for some reason she won't believe me that I let her win, maybe because I was so far behind her
Yesterday we watched the Steelers beat the Bangles at Kate's sister's house. I'm not so much of a gung ho Steeler fan, but I was happy that they won. I'm more excited that the Pens are finally doing better. I'll add more soon.

| | Darn Penguins!
When are the Pittsburgh Penguins going to win? They've lost every game that they've played so far. I've come to the point where I don't even hope for it to happen anymore. I just want to see a few goals and watch Sydney Crosby. There's just too much wrong with the team right now that they're not willing to fix, such as 1. Play like people are actually paying (which they are) over $60 to come see you. 2. Hire a coach with a backbone who doesn't play favorites and isn't easily intimidated. 3. Tell the team that it's not okay to play like Mario (slow as hell and barely trying). 4. Let Mario own the team but not have a say in who plays and how often, who gets traded, etc, etc. The whole owner on the bench thing is a problem right now. 5. And perhaps just as important or even more so than the others, get some defensive defensmen who actually know how to play! Anyway, glad I got that off my chest for now.

| | Pens Lose Opener but Crosby
Looks Good
The Pittsburgh Penguins lost their home opener last night 5-1 to the New Jersey Devils. The Pens came out smoking, but their spark was soon extinguished by some nice goaltending by Martin Brodeur.
This was by no means the only reason that the Pens came up short in their effort. Goaltender Jocelyn Thibault was unimpressive, giving up far too many rebounds and flopping to the ice on nearly every shot. The Pens transitional game was also lacking. Their was no flow or speed from defense to offense.
Our offense was by no means bad. In his NHL debut, Sydney Crosby was very impressive. He nearly had a goal on his first shift, and in the third period he was the only one creating any real chances with a couple nice plays coming from the boards to the net. One of those plays resulted in a goal by Mark Recchi, giving Sydney Crosby his first NHL assist and point. Hopefully, we'll see a more productive performance from the team on Friday night against Carolina.

| | Pens Rock
I like the Steelers, but I get sick of hearing about them so much. Big Ben this, Big Ben that. Guess what, Big Ben blows. Tom Brady took him to class like I figured he would. Anyway, there's another sports team back in Pittsburgh this year...and they gonna kick a little a@@!
